Popular Christmas Break Event for Kids
The Christmas Bird Count for Kids is a popular Christmas Break event that many youngsters look forward to every year. Although this event is geared towards children, it provides an opportunity for the whole family to learn about bird watching and the winter behaviours and habitats of local birds like Black-capped Chickadees, Finches, Blue-jays and Woodpeckers.
Crafts, Hot Chocolate, Bird Banding and Wagon Ride!
Bird feeder crafts, games, hot chocolate, bird banding demonstrations, are topped off with a horse and wagon ride courtesy of Dennis Peddie of Cougar Farms.
