Fall Migration Private Booking
August 8 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am$30 – $50
Due to Covid-19 restrictions and HMREC’s current staff limitations, we have been forced to change the way we can host fall migration research public visits to the marsh. We hope to get things back to a causal drop in format soon, but for now here are the details.
The Hilliardton Marsh will be available for private 1 hour sessions starting August 1st until August 31st.
Our visiting hours are from 10am-11am Monday to Saturday. We are closed on Sunday.
Visitations should be booked 3 days prior in order for us to confirm reservations and prepare for your visit. Once we have received your booking, someone will contact you within 24 hours to confirm your booking and field any questions you may have.
Because we have limited time available for visits, refunds will not be made for no-shows. If we have to cancel due to poor weather, a full refund will be made.
Visits will consist of 1 net-check and bird education session (approx. 30 minutes). The rest of your time can be used for a self-guided tour of the marsh garden and ponds.
Masks are required for the bird education session.
We are asking that you give yourself lots of time to arrive at the marsh as Google Maps can be inaccurate and net-checks are strictly timed for research purposes. One of our volunteers will meet you promptly at 10am at the entrance gate.
To secure your reservation:
Non Members: Cost is $50 per booking with a max of 10 participants,
Marsh Members: Cost is $30 per booking with a max of 10 participants
